John will be missed at our club for his presents and vocal input.

CARTER, John Robert March 31, 1939 - July 26, 2013 Peacefully passed away at the Ross Memorial Hospital in Lindsay, Ontario at the age of 74, surrounded by his wife and children. Married to Roxie, who loved and cared for John for 52 years. Loving father to Wade (Brenda), Sherri-Lee (Gianni), and predeceased by son Craig (1967). Awesome Papa to grandchildren Maddison, Jordan, and Braeden. Brother to Brian (Nancy) and Donny (and the late Maggie). He will also be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews and great friends. John retired from Dofasco after 33 years of service. He will mostly be remembered for his love of fishing and his award winning paintings, known for his great humour and large personality. A great character for many who called him "friend". Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life will take place at the Dofasco Rec. Centre, 388 First Road East, on Saturday, August 10th from 1-4 p.m. Everyone welcome. A donation to any children's charity would be greatly appreciated by the family.
