Hey! Good news. The adults will be included this year. The adult winners will get gift certificates from tackle/fishing shops .
This year they will wait a week to announce the winners. That way they can ensure that all the results are accurate. The winners names will be posted on the Hamilton Waterfront Trust. Website. Also . All Children and Youth are eligible for raffle prizes which will be drawn immediately following the derby at 12pm at the waterfront stage. Only one raffle ticket will be given per child/youth. Winners must be present to receive their raffle prize.
August 17 2013 from 8am to 12 noon

Joe I'll have to check that one out. Because we had a vote to cancel the adult category, unless there has been some changes that we weren't aware of. I'll let everyone know.

As you know DAVE the adult classes were canceled after a few carp guys started complaining on stage and ending up pushing Werner around. This year will be gift certificates given out a week later for the adult class. The delay is to assure all weight stations are compiled and winners will be posted on Waterfront web page. Sad to see its come to this as it was ment to be a day for the kids to enjoy fishing. The kids will be given a draw ticket and those prizes will be drawn @ 12 noon at the stage near the cruise boat.

Thanks Joe. I talk to Werner last night and he thought it would be better to include the adults because it would encourage adults to bring their kids. It should be a good day as always. We've been tying the rods the last few weeks, Thursday night we should be finished. A lot of people that see us outside at the Williams, see all the rods piled up, are asking questions and are very impressed about the whole thing. It's a shame that it's not advertised more on CHCH and the paper.
