Beaverton report

Took the wife to Orillia for the weekend,and we were going to spend the saturday icefishing with Floyds Huts out of Beaverton. We woke up saturday morning to a snowstorm with no power in the hotel. We had to get dress and ready in the dark. Just as we got that over with the fire alarm goes off and 5 firetrucks show up in the front parking lot with firemen running into the building with air tanks and masks on. We didn't stick around because we were already late and just hoped the place was still there when we got back. We finally made it out on the ice after driving in white out conditions and my wife Sandi lands her first fish a 13 incher, right there and then I knew I was in trouble. First six fish out of the hole were between 11 and 13 inches. We had a great day catching lots of fish and taking home about a dozen of jumbos for supper, wife got most of the jumbos.P.S. when we got back to the hotel we found out it was just a false alarm.

Now you got the wife hooked, you'll have to get her in the Perch Festival.

We stayed at the Highwayman, and she always out fishes me when I take her out. It was her first time ice fishing and she said she had a great time.So I'll must likely have to take her out at least once a year.
